Violet went home and did her chores. Grandma Anna gave her $5.00. Violet knew what she wanted to save for. It was going to be a surprise for Dr. Woodchip. It is going to be a new pair of eye glasses, since they were not the right kind for Dr. Woodchip. A new pair of eye glasses cost $10.00 and was at the library.
Dr. Woodchip complained sometimes and told Violet that she got the eye glasses from a patient from the hospital who left them. Dr. Woodchip said “Violet, I have to teach you more about the medical field. Can you say the word stethoscope ? Do you know what that is and what it is used for? Violet said “to feel your heartbeat”? “That is very good” said Dr. Woodchip. But it is also to hear your lungs.
